It is with great pride and joy that we inform you that on June 14, 2024, prof. dr. hab. Anna Branach-Kallas–a long-time president of PACS and a renowned scholar–was elected President of the International Council for Canadian Studies, “a not-for-profit organization composed of 23 member associations and 5 associate members in thirty-nine countries, dedicated to the promotion and support of research, education and publication in all fields of Canadian Studies around the world” (iccs-ciec.com).
Professor Branach-Kallas was elected unanimously. She is the first researcher from Poland to hold this position since ICCS-CIEC was established in 1981.
Professor Branach-Kallas’s success is shared by the whole community of Polish Canadianists who are proud of our colleague’s significant accomplishment, which will surely go down in the history of PACS.
As PACS, we want to extend heartfelt congratulations to Professor Branach-Kallas!
